I admit , just like all of you once in a while i do feel sleepy during afternoon and mostly on days when i take heavy meal than my usual home brought food in 2 small boxes.
And on those days when i feel sleepy i try to close my eyes for 5 mins and i feel guilty about it …i dont know why , but i do feel …
But today was no such day… i took a power nap of 15 mins and still not a single feeling of guilt came to me ….
I am still jet-lagged , was my perfect answer 🙂
Yesterday it was the shortest day in my life …
it was just 23 hrs with the readjustment of the clock at the strike of 2.00 am … and then just like that with the snap of fingers you need to adjust the with new time ….u cant sleep at 12.30 as its actually 11.30 from yesterday and then wake up an hr ago  when its dark when yesterday the same time there was good light and then have lunch at 11.30 am oops the time reads 12.30 pm …
It was all weird ..
Until … 7.00 pm …
its supposed to be dark , super dark when i go out like all these months i am here … but not today …
there was daylight …. it was still day out … like the evening has not even started and i have a whole evening at my disposal ….
Fresh laughters on old jokes are always funnier than new jokes …. do u agree ?
Catching up with a old buddy is always so much fun…
Leg pulling is the truth.. and for straight talks.. what is that….
I hav made some unique and interesting friends.. and its ok if we do not catch up with each other so often.. but when we do there is no end…
There is the eternal debate …. Mushrooms are they Veg or Non-veg …
For years the vegetarians wont eat it as its non-vegetarian and then non-vegetarian wont really like it as its not anywhere close to being a animal or that kind of protein source …
Dear Mushrooms do not you worry, there are people like us , who like you for the way you are and just the way you are … we do not care what you are , we just know we can survive on you …

And i had these over lunch and right now as i am talking about it and writing about it my mouth is salivating … again i want to eat all those things for dinner ….
A very satisfactory 3 course meal … what more a person like me wants ….
I have not clicked pics of any of those , i was so busy eating it all …. so goggled it for u
Before i came to the US, i had a very little idea , what artichoke it … I had heard it from a friend who had heard it from someone else visiting from somewhere else …
I being me and Artichoke being a food ,  I had to know more , so I had educated myself with Google  …
So I had learnt to cook it , boil it , microwave it, bake it even before I could lay my hands on it …
Sorry ,it might sound crazy , but what if I see it one day and don’t know how to select a good one , or might think i don’t how to use it and then chicken out from buying it at all …
I am a curious person and I like that about myself …
So, when I came here I started with the artichoke salads , the picked artichokes , ready to use kind , and then today I decided to bake one for myself ….
2 artichokes , 1 onion garlic olive oil dip(ready to eat) …. and me binge watching ‘Orange is the New Black’ …
Its a good game today and yet another victory for the Indian cricket team … Today a lot of people have expected that India might loose to SA , given that SA is a strong team now with top batsmen and bowlers line up ,but still wishing that India wins …

Full circle of the famed and beautiful Lake Tahoe …
Its a 70 + miles circumference drive and doable in a day for sure … there is so much more that you might want to do for which you need more time … If you plan to do a drive around and stopping at few places for some food and soul-food then its easily doable in 1 day …And we aimed at just the drive not the hikes or the  boating …
Driving from Redwood City to North-East , and every minute taking you closer to the Sierra-Nevada range … After a almost 4 hrs drive i see the lake …. surrounded by snow capped mountains , pine trees and a winding road walking just next to the banks …
The water , pure blue …. and so clean and pristine that you can see the bottom of the lake easily …. And the icy coldness of the water will make you believe that it just came from the snow mountains on the top …. unadulterated ….
Every point and every spot, every frame of the picture i was taking was making me say ‘Wow’

This is not just a one day thing .. this is now more than a week thing … and i was working long hours and dreading it all the way ….
And today .. on a Thursday when i was up… i felt as if today it is my day …. that feeling sometimes just comes …when you know you are invincible and you have the momentum of the jagganuat ….
A day which starts at 7.30 and does not end at 7.30 , it goes on beyond that …. But its that day when after working all these long hours you are not exhausted …. You are taking rest because you body needs that food , loo , sleep break , when your mind is already geared up for a all nighter and does not show any signs of fatigue ….You know the next day will be even more exciting ….
Today i finished my usual chores (2 morning meetings as soon as i get up) and other daily chores (the personal stuff) and when reached office by 11.00 , I saw 2 people desperately looking for , they had called , emailed , pinged me ….
sensing the urgency i called first person , she says its a last moment thing , needs to be done , appreciate your help , i said fine and i said jokingly its supposed to be slow day for me but see now you are there … and the sweet lady says i will buy you a coffee and a lunch 🙂  …
I called up the other person saying what last minute bomb is going to drop again , as the same person’s team (i did not know they existed even, and vive versa) few days back had contacted for a similar task and had kept me on my toes for the entire day , working in co-ordinating with this new found team on a very short lived env where tic-toc of time hinted a long ordeal again if we cannot finish this effort now …. But thing is we did finish the task at hand that day …. Do they want a repeat  ? … Just then i heard the person saying ‘Hey Priyanka … thank you so much for the effort that day … It really helped us going through the task and we finished the project and your role was really crucial … you helped us just when we needed it and we cannot thank you enough’ …. So , they were trying to find me to thank me ?  wow… no-one does that now a days ….
I have got my hint …today is indeed my day …. and i can get anything done today …. As the day went by and the assignments started unfolding , like i just knew what to ask and what to answer … by the evening i had once again proved my feelings were right ….. Â It was Good long day ….
